Thermaltake Unveils DockPower PSU with Innovative Detachable Connection Panel
Thermaltake has introduced a groundbreaking addition to its power supply lineup with the new DockPower PSU, showcased at Computex. This latest innovation addresses a common challenge in PC building: accessing and managing power supply connections within tight or complex cases.
Revolutionizing PSU Connectivity
Traditional fully-modular power supplies have made cable management more flexible, while models like the Corsair RMx Shift have improved accessibility by relocating the connections panel to the side of the PSU. Thermaltake takes this concept further with DockPower’s detachable connections panel. This unique design allows users to completely remove the panel from the PSU, connect all necessary cables outside the case, and then simply slot the panel back into place.
This approach eliminates the frustration of reaching awkward connectors in cramped spaces, making installation and upgrades significantly easier. The tool-free mechanism ensures that detaching and reattaching the panel is quick and straightforward, streamlining the entire build process.
Key Features and Specifications
At Computex, Thermaltake demonstrated a 1000W DockPower model featuring 80 Plus Gold efficiency certification and a single 12V-2x6 connection. This ensures high performance and compatibility with the latest hardware standards. While only the 1000W version was on display, it is anticipated that the detachable panel design will expand to other models in Thermaltake’s PSU range.
Thermaltake’s animation highlights the simplicity and practicality of the DockPower’s detachable panel, emphasizing its potential to set a new standard for power supply accessibility and user-friendly design.
